How overwhelming are teething products? • teething books • baby banana • beads • blankets • silicone products I mean the list is just endless… The ones mentioned + some are amazing, but did you know fennel can also be used as a teether? YUP, FENNEL! With its subtle numbing ability it can soothe a baby’s gums within seconds. I purchase organic fennel and take apart the stems. Slightly peel the outer layer (same as you would celery) and offer to chew. It’s COLD, has some FLAVOR, EFFECTIVE, and 100% NATURAL. Or, you can try this silicone bath scrubber, which seems to serve a dual purpose these days with my little one-haha. LASTLY, my daughter loves chewing on silicone utensils! I bought this basting brush for myself, but she gets more use out of it than I do. GUESS WHAT, I am completely okay with that because the textures and material seem to be soothing enough to keep her calm for a few minutes. The only problem is, when I do need it… I have to go hunt for it in her toy box. Can’t win them all, right? SIDE NOTE: DO NOT LEAVE BABY UNATTENDED WHILE OFFERING any food items. I haven’t had a case of either baby biting off pieces, but I do recommend keeping an eye on them the same as you would while s/he was eating.
